Five bidders waged a “highly competitive auction” at 3/6 Maher St, with others “not even getting a chance to put their hand up,” reported Elite Buyer Agents’ Kim Easterbrook.
An opening bid of $600,000 “wasn’t enough to stop a bidding frenzy” for the property, which had a price guide of $600,000-$650,000, Ms Easterbrook said.
She said the property was on the market at $680,000 and went on to sell for $746,000 to a first-home buyer, with other young buyers as well as downsizers in attendance.
“Well-positioned large villa units are in strong demand from first-home buyers and downsizers due to their affordable price point for high-demand suburbs,” Ms Easterbrook said.
